How far is to far? This is a common question that may go across some people when they hear what is going on over seas, with our troops. In 2005 the Yusufiyah people were seeing more and more Americans who were supposedly there to help and protect the Innocent everyday civilians, but they felt no relief. The local didn't feel protected, but instead persecuted. Do these people have the right to feel this way when soldiers are there to help? Well typically the American soldiers would come in to a house without warning, and search through the entire  house. This would be an intimidating and scary situation for anyone. These soldiers are not evil men or women, but instead people who are just tiring to do their job in the best way and the safest way for the most people. These Americans have the toughest job especially when it comes to the question of how far is to far. Some might say that when you know longer see the enemy as people, this is can be a very difficult thing to overcome. While still others may argue that if you worry about the enemy so much, there is no way you will stay sane. All in all the everyday duties in the life of a solider is beyond most everyday peoples understanding, as a result all citizens are reminded to respect the soldiers and the veterans who have or are fighting for us.

This weeks assignment is to list the top five resons why you would or would not be friends with the author or main character of the book that you are reading. I would be friends with the author of my book, and these are the five reasons why....
1.) The author was in the army and he would keep me safe when I'm with him.
2.) He is very strong and I would not want to be his enemy.
3.) He is a very knowledgable person and i could learn alot from him.
4.) He is not a person who goofs off all the time, but instead is very serious about his work.
5.)He has made many sacrifices for all Americans and our country, and it would be an honor to call myself his friend.

This weeks assignment is to create a sound track for the book you are reading. The videos below contain the four songs I've chosen for this project. These songs represent my book well because there are many mixtures of emotion. One video shows the pride, commitment, and tough pursue of a solider, and the other three show the feelings and hardships of these brave men and women, and what they go through everyday.
This Week: 2 1/2 hrs.
Total time: 10 hrs. and 45 minutes

Three thinking questions

This weeks assignment is to right three thinking questions and answer them. These are the three I did.
  1. When reading a book that contains many different war scenes, such as Black Hearts, how does it influence your thoughts or knowledge of war?
From what I have read so far, these book changes my whole outlook on war. Today's war is far
more complex than any history book, movie, or news article ever describes.

2. While reading this book are you still able to see any value in sending our brave family                   members  friends, and neighbors, also know as soldiers to a war like this one?

Yes, even after reading about these events, the is still a value to sending our brave men and women overseas. There are the obvious ones such as, fighting for all sorts of freedoms, speech, religion, press,.... Without these freedoms we wouldn't be America land of the free, we would just be America.

3.  After reading part of this book, what do you think would give anyone the drive to enlist for the military?

I think they will always be people willing to give their service , and their life for their country. To be a part of the United States army is a huge honor, and to be able to stand literally between the enemy and your family as part of the country's first defense is an incredible privilege. God has our time and place set for when it is our turn to leave this world and go to heaven, so if the fear of death would keep a person from serving their country in this way, well they have no control over it anyway. I think these are just a few of the reasons that many people have the drive to enlist and serve in the U.S. military. I know these are a few of the reasons I have the drive to enlist and serve my country, my family, and most importantly my Lord, by putting my trust in him and hopefully leading others to do the same.

I read two hours this week.
Total time 8 hours and 15 minutes
